Reporting line : Group Retail Marketing Manager & Uganda Operations Manager
The Marketing Executive will actively participate in strengthening the Lapaire brand and growing its awareness in its territory by executing the group's marketing strategy and actively contributing to the marketing plan.
The mission of the Marketing Executive is to:
Executing successfully the Group marketing strategy locally
- Monitoring the market & consumer trends as well as competitors, identifying growth opportunities for Lapaire.
- Adapting Lapaire group retail marketing strategy, plan & deploy promotional, activations & marketing activities across the network.
- Developing and deploying marketing materials across the network to ensure proper visibility and impact.
- Sourcing local partners and service providers (printers, advertising agencies, radio, TV, etc.) and negotiating the best rates.
- Participate in growing Lapaire's community across all digital platforms : support to content creation, influencers sourcing & management etc.
- Contributing to strengthening current and potential brand partnerships as well as to maximizing Lapaire’s presence into events.
Managing the local field activation team
- Recruiting and training field activation team to secure their daily presence on the ground
- Supervising daily the team across the country to ensure dynamic & successful activations
- Conduct regular audits on the ground to support & coaching teams, ensure good communications with branch team
Collaborating proactively with the other Departments
- Briefing Operations teams on marketing campaigns to ensure seamless execution on the ground.
- Propose and coordinate sales challenges in collaboration with Operations Teams.
Providing clear reporting to management
- Close follow-up of KPIs and analysis of the results to propose corrective actions
- Ensure transparent and regular reporting to management on own activities
Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Marketing or Communications
- At least 2 years of successful experience in a similar position, in an agency or corporate environment
- You have significant experience in Trade / Operational Marketing and/or PR project management
- You have excellent project management skills and like on-the-ground work.
- You have an excellent command of digital tools

The starting gross salary budget the role is UGX. 1,500,000 with a performance-based bonus of up to UGX. 300,000, plus transportation & telecommunication allowance.
