Business Developer
Job description
Location: Kampala, Uganda
Start Date: April 2025
The Business Developer is responsible for identifying and developing new commercial/business opportunities in order to increase Lapaire's reputation and commercial development in its market. He/she reports directly to the Operations Manager.
His/her mission consists in :
1. Prospecting and acquiring new customers
- Identify and contact new prospects (B2B) throughout the territory.
- Developing and maintaining a customer/partner portfolio
- Negotiating and concluding partnerships
2. Develop branch traffic and sales
- Participate in the implementation of commercial growth strategies
- Work with Area Managers to maximise sales
- Actively contribute to Lapaire's reputation with target audiences/organisations
3. Performance monitoring and reporting
- Monitor performance indicators and ensure regular reporting
- Analyse results and propose corrective actions
- Ensure partner satisfaction and loyalty
Profile required:
- Degree in management, business, marketing or equivalent
- Successful experience in business development and prospecting
- Excellent negotiation, communication and customer relations skills
- Entrepreneurial spirit, autonomy and ability to make proposals
- Strong results orientation and adaptability
The personal qualities needed to succeed in this role:
- Proactive: you are always moving forward and don't stop at the first hurdle. You know how to find solutions on your own to move forward.
- Good communicator: you have good interpersonal skills and are at ease with all types of people.

Compensation :
- Base salary (gross) : 1.5M UGX
- Monthly performance bonus (gross) : 800K UGX
- Transportation allowance (monthly) : Safeboda wallet (150,000 UGX)
- Telecommunications allowance (monthly) : 100,000 UGX
