FULFILLMENT MANAGER
Job description
Location: Abidjan, Ivory Coast - position to be filled on July 1st , 2025
The Fulfillment Manager coordinates and supervises the fulfillment of customer orders from the start of their processing by the edging labs, until delivery to the Lapaire customer, in compliance with the processes and delivery deadlines. The ultimate goal is to ensure excellent customer satisfaction.
He/she will be responsible for production and fulfillment in all 8 countries of the Lapaire Group, in East and West Africa.
He/she will report to the Supply Chain Director and will supervise a global team of 10 people including local Lab Manager(s), the Labs technicians and the Order Manager based in Abidjan. He/she will also work in collaboration with Lapaire's subcontractors and suppliers relating to quality control.
The missions of the Fulfillment Manager :
Supervision of the fulfillment of customer orders
- Responsibility for orders processed internally by Lapaire's Optical Labs and ensure their proper completion within the deadlines
- Responsibility for orders placed with Lapaire's main subcontractor and ensure the proper completion and delivery of these orders to Lapaire's customers, within the deadlines
- Ensure the overall performance of customer orders by monitoring key indicators: processing time, return rate, error rate etc. ; review and challenge KPIs
- Handle customer complaints and monitor the replacement of problematic orders
Organization and supervision of the Optical Labs to ensure quality of every pair of glasses delivered
- Supervise Lapaire's Optical Labs and teams efficiently to ensure the performance of the assembly lines
- Write and implement procedures to optimise and standardise assembly in all Lapaire Optical Labs
- Analyze monthly performance of assembly teams (internal and external); write reports and propose improvements
- Effectively manage the various Optical Lab managers from a distance
Monitor and optimise all production
- Supervise the reconciliation of the invoicing of orders processed by the subcontractor
- Monitor and avoid any loss of material in Lapaire's Optical Labs
- Reduce production costs and increase production efficiency
- Ensure quality of customer deliverables by implementing internal training of Supply chain staff and enforcing quality standards with suppliers
- Support Procurement manager with product selection and evaluation of Lapaire’s product portfolio
- Regularly visit Lapaire’s Optical labs and carry out an audit ; continuous training and coaching of the teams
Profile of the candidate
3/5 years of higher education in Management, Business Administration or Logistics/Supply Chain with at least 5 years of professional experience, including 2 years of management experience
Proven competence in team management and project management, knowledge of factory production and assembly lines
Ability to analyse data and financial analysis
Good knowledge of IT tools (Excel, Google Suite, ERP etc.) and very comfortable with digital in general
Professional English and French, both written and spoken - candidates without a sufficient level of English will not be considered for the position
Prior experience in the optical sector and in depth knowledge of optical products and the local optical market is a strong advantage.
