Field Sales Executive

 

Job description

Location: Kampala, Uganda
Start Date: April 2025

The Field Sales Executive is responsible for the recruitment, training, supervision, monitoring and performance of external/field sales teams. He/she plays a key role in making Lapaire known to the general public and works actively to develop the number of eye tests, sales and the implementation of sales strategies in the field. They will be reporting to the Senior Marketing Executive.

His/Her mission will consist in

1. Supervision and management of 'external sales teams' in the field

  • Recruiting and training field sales staff
  • Managing and organising the field sales team according to requirements
  • Leading and motivating the teams
  • Make regular visits to the field to support and coach the teams.

2. Performance monitoring and reporting

  • Monitor sales representatives' performance indicators (test views, sales, conversion rates, etc.)
  • Analysing results and proposing corrective actions
  • Prepare regular reports for superiors

3. Business development

  • Participating in the implementation of sales strategies adapted to the field.
 

Profile required:

  • Degree in management, business, marketing or equivalent
  • Proven experience in managing a sales team in the field
  • Excellent leadership, communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to analyse performance and propose actions for improvement
  • Strong results orientation and entrepreneurial spirit
  • Mobility and availability for frequent travel
 

Personal qualities required to succeed in this role:

  • Leadership: ability to bring people together and create a positive, results-oriented team dynamic
  • Good commercial skills: you enjoy prospecting and selling, and know how to pass on your passion to your team
  • Coaching: you enjoy training your team to keep them committed and motivated
  • Highly motivated and dynamic: you always want to exceed your targets and work hard to do so
  • Team spirit: you want to contribute to the growth of a group and to the sharing of knowledge

Compensation : 

  • Base salary (gross) : 1M UGX
  • Monthly performance bonus (gross) : 300K UGX
  • Transportation allowance (monthly) : Safeboda wallet (100,000 UGX)
  • Telecommunications allowance (monthly) : TBC
